FINALLY! It's unbelievable... first the permit came, then we got plumbing pipes, THEN, we had a slab, and two days later...we went to take pics, and we have cement block walls! While we were there, they delivered our roof trusses, so I think this weekend we will have a roof! I am SOOO ready. The weather has been cooperating and building is slow now, so that means that there should be no delays on our home. It's ALL good! The backyard is going to be so nice, with all the conservation area behind us, I love the greenery. We noticed a HUGE nest in there, in a tall Pine, possibly an Eagles nest. Florida has many Eagles and Falcons, so we'll soon see. Take a look at my pics...

Daytona Beach Bike Week 2007

Elliot and I went to Daytona Beach for Bike Week, we had the most gorgeous weather, beautiful, warm and sunny. We took his 96 Harley Road King. Went down Main Street, shopped for t-shirts, had lunch of ribs & baked beans at Black Bike Week. Damn those brothers can cook, definately beat out the others. All in all it was a great day out riding, seeing thousands of bikers from all over. I love looking at all the different license plates. The noise too on a primal level, was way cool, some of them bikes just sound good, ya know?

early Sunday morning, what could be better than the computer, coffee & a doobie? ;)~

I'm a veeery early riser... what the hell can u do at 4 am, without waking everyone up. on the weeks that Elliot is in NJ, i sometimes can't sleep and get up and start cleaning the house at 3 am, lol. i have problems.

I haven't made any progress in finding a hotel, I started looking and freaked about the high prices. so I gave up. lol so I let El know it was going to cost him big bucks. that's the start, going to look again later today...I have a really hard time with paying high hotel prices, because I've stayed in really nice ones for great rates. I just have to spend about 5 days researching all the web sites for that one wonderful bargain. Of course it doesn't help this time that I am going up north in May, when everyone wants to go during Memorial Day weekend. f**k me. plus, you have to read others reviews, hotel pics can be so deceiving. words like charming ~ scare me. (in reference to hotel descriptions).

Today is the Daytona 500, go #24! I should also be getting to the mall to find a dress for this wedding. Have I mentioned, I don't like weddings. Plus, because I wear a 0 or xsmall, it'll take several mall trips to find the right stuff. You have NO idea... lmao. I don't like petite clothes, so, finding the right stores w/the cute stuff can be challenging...I'm thinking Dillards, but they are high, so maybe Macy's, (I like to tick off El, he likes Macy's, you know, being from NY/NJ, so I always say that it's from Macy's w/pretention. hee-hee. Ann Taylor, maaybe...anywho I just have to walk around and SHOP! So maaaaany stores, then I'll get way-laid and of course stop in my FAVORITE store, Williams Sonoma ( I barely cook, lmao) last time I went I lusted after this French pepper mill ($150). Found it on eBay for $75, buuut. Ain't getting it. Got the stainless steel Cuisinart can opener for my new place though. And I love PotteryBarn, Godiva, Gymboree, I sometimes go for me, and end up getting Nina stuff, which she definately does not need. Sooooo, like I said, I'll just stick to a new outfit for Boston, a dress for wedding, and shoes. love shoes. I WILL NOT be over packing, El will be happy, because he knows how crazy I am...thinking I need everything, when I end up not wearing half the stuff I INSIST I need. I'm mental, but anti-depressant free. :) guess the cannabis is my therapy. And today I'm attending the Church of the Holy Smoke. Goodbye*

~ GoOd MoRnInG ~

No school today for Rodeo Day. Our Rodeo is in town this week and the kids get the day off to go to the Osceola County Fair. Elliot and I, took Nina this past weekend, she rode the horses and all the kiddie rides, we ate funnel cakes, we looked at all the livestock, and she was tickled pink, some of the hens had laid eggs. :) Now, I'm off to find a NICE Boston hotel, for Elliot's nieces' upcoming wedding in May. Takes me forever to find the RIGHT one, this girl doesn't do Motel 6. lol. I've never been to Boston, can't wait to take in some history and LOBSTER!

We've chosen a builder and our lot! woohoo!

We have been looking to buy a home for some time now, our house has become too "small".

We looked at many, many homes...from pre-existing homes to new homes, from one end of Central Florida to the other. On January 22nd, 2007, we signed a contract with Ryland Homes. We bought a conservation lot, in a new development in St. Cloud.

This past monday we spent 5 hours at the design center, picking out all the options for our home. FUN! Compared to our home now...this is going to seem like a "mansion" We are getting a HUGE master bedroom and bath on one end of the house, on the other end we have 2 bedrooms and an office. A huge kitchen with all the goodies...high-end Maple cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, kitchen island w/granite, a breakfast nook, and high hat lighting. Our family room is off the kitchen, with sliders to the back. We are getting 3 bathrooms downstairs, and a bonus room with bathroom and another suite upstairs for the "girls". Plus, a formal living room and dining room. A decent size laundry room, and a 3-car garage for Elliot's Harleys. He has a 1996 Road King and a 2001 Buell.

So, as we travel forward...i'll share the trials and tribulations of building our house. Wish me luck, as anyone who has ever had anything built or remodeled knows...we're going to need it. LOL.
